I’m a BACP Accredited Integrative counsellor experienced in working with people facing a range of emotional difficulties such as low mood, anxiety, relationship problems and a lack of meaning or flourishing in life.
You may be coming to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply sensing that something in your life or relationships needs to change. I offer a thoughtful and compassionate space to explore this at your own pace.
I am an integrative therapist, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches at different stages of the work, carefully tailored to you as an individual.
A central part of my work is supporting clients to understand themselves more deeply in the context of their past experiences and formative relationships, and how these continue to shape them in the present. For example, some people may find it difficult to ask for help if their role in the family was to take care of other people’s needs rather than their own.
This depth work is informed by person‑centred therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and inner child work. These approaches help us explore different parts of the self with curiosity and care, creating space for healing, integration, and emotional steadiness.
Alongside this, I work with the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, exploring how to respond to needs with greater calm, clarity, and self‑trust. Mindfulness is woven into this process as a way of gently noticing inner experience, cultivating self‑compassion, and creating space for choice rather than automatic reaction. This aspect of therapy draws on principles from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness‑based approaches, supporting real change.
A further aspect of my work involves exploring your unique personality, strengths, values, sense of vocation, and your needs within relationships. This can include looking at themes such as assertiveness, boundaries, attachment patterns, and personality styles, helping you to champion your authentic self and live a more fulfilling life.
My aim is to offer a warm, reflective, and supportive space where you feel understood and accepted as you are, and where insight and emotional understanding can support meaningful and lasting change over time.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Kate is really nice and has many different resources for the therapy
This was my first experience of therapy and Kate was so respectful and considerate of my concerns. She made me feel empowered, strong and understood. We worked through so much together, some of which I didn't even realise I needed to talk about until it came out in our sessions. Thank you Kate for listening and inspiring confidence in me.
Really valuable sessions. Thank you!
