About Me

Hi, I’m Sara Roesler, LCSW, MSW, MPH. I’m a licensed therapist with over 20 years of experience working with clients in Massachusetts, Maine, North Carolina, and Oklahoma. I help people move through challenges like depression, anxiety, relationship stress, and big life transitions. I also have a special place in my work for older adults, supporting them through the emotional ups and downs that come with aging, loneliness, and major life changes.

My Approach

My style is compassionate, relaxed, and focused on what you need. I believe therapy works best when you feel listened to, supported, and understood. I take time to get to know you—your story, your strengths, and what you’re hoping to change. I pull from different therapy styles depending on what fits best, whether you’re dealing with stress, low self-esteem, social anxiety, family issues, or chronic health concerns.

What I Can Help With

I can support you with:

• Big life changes (retirement, moving, career shifts, etc.)

• Stress, anxiety, and feeling overwhelmed

• Relationship struggles and communication challenges

• Building confidence and self-worth

• Aging, loneliness, and finding meaning later in life

• Coping with chronic health issues

• Improving family dynamics and resolving conflicts

Why Work With Me

I aim to create a warm, non-judgmental space where you can show up exactly as you are. My goal is to help you feel grounded, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life. Whether you’re working through something painful or simply want to understand yourself better, we’ll explore it together and find practical ways to help you move forward.

If you’re ready to make some positive shifts—or you’re not sure where to start—I’m here to help you take the next step.

She’s great

Sara is great. Listens and gives advice

Sara has a distinct style of interactive therapy which has been very helpful to me. She listens to your needs and cares as a friend. She has tools, suggestions and patience to continue listening and understanding.

Sara has given me a wonderful toolbox to help cope with my anxiety, and high levels of stress!

I have been seeing Sara for a few weeks and I have found her extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and empathetic. It’s my first time going to therapy for mental health concerns and, despite my initial reservations, Sara has allowed me to feel safe and hopeful that I can overcome the things I am struggling with. She has the perfect balance of being a listening ear, whilst also speaking directly and truthfully and not paternalistically or coddling me. I highly recommend her.

She’s fantastic, and incredibly solvent…she’s a solution-maker, and I need that in a therapist.

I’ve had a couple sessions with Sara so far and she is exactly the type of therapist I was looking for. Someone extremely knowledgeable in counseling people. I like her approach so far and she is very good about leading the conversation but also making sure I am ok with what we speak about.

Sara has a wealth of knowledge and a discerning mind. She communicated genuine and detailed interest in myself and my challenges and has been a beacon of support and positivity for me.

Sara is very understanding and experienced. I have recently reached out to her outside of our schedule meetings for urgent help and she was extremely supportive and gave me ways to deal with my mental health in the most appropriate way I could for the time. Her schedule is very flexible and she responds outside of meeting times very well and within a timely manner. I couldn’t ask for a better therapist :)

All good so far!

I look forward to meeting with Sara and continuing to work on my issues. I'm very comfortable with Sara and believe she has several tools to help me.

Sara offers very helpful insights and her communication style is a great match for me. It has been so helpful so far.

Personable. Knowledgeable. Responsive.

I'm grateful I was matched with Sara Roesler. She's been huge help as I went into the process without insurance and have steadily become better and better over time.

A kind soul who got to know my deep concerns quickly and with an empathetic approach

Amazing very kind above and beyond

Kind and understanding
