More about Julie

  • 14 years' experience
  • Female
  • LPC, LMHC

Hello!

I am licensed in Oregon and Washington with 14 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, family conflicts, trauma, abuse, & depression. I also have experience working with coping with life changes. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.

My therapeutic style is collaborative and strengths-based. I want to work with clients to try new strategies and skills and help them gain confidence and mastery over the issues that bring distress into their lives. Specifically, I utilize cognitive reframing to look at events and relationships from a balanced perspective. Also, I enjoy working with clients who are interested in identifying boundary issues within their relationships, noticing where they struggle to say "no" or "yes" to the things that they want/don't want is an important part of my work with clients. I am an EMDR Basic Trained Clinician.

My specialties include EMDR to treat Trauma, DNMS, Cognitive Behavioral Interventions, Dialectical Behavior Therapy components (i.e. Emotional Regulation Skills and Distress Tolerance) and Christian Counseling. I also teach the Emotional Freedom Technique and the Butterfly Hug to help clients calm their brain and body when overwhelmed.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your healing journey!

Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
