Hello! I'm Kim, and I am an Accredited Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers.

I'm also a mum with adult children and have had many life experiences which has assisted me, along with my learnt education, to get to where I am in life.

Here is what I do -

- I use my lived and learnt experience to assist victims / survivors of domestic and family violence and the many facets of our life including grief and loss and mental health which are affected

- I assist Christians with their faith and mental health and am qualified in theology and live accordingly to do so. Not a Christian? No problem! I'm still happy to assist you in a non - religious way. Therefore, I provide both conservative and liberal assistance dependant on your need / s

- Chronic pain is a part of my daily life so I use my lived and learnt experience to assist others experiencing same

- anxiety and depression are debilitating and I can work with you regarding same

-Communication is essential in every facet of life so I can assist you with building effective communication strategies

- Self - care is essential so I assist anyone with building and maintaining same including post - traumatic growth.

Therapeutic modalities used are ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Trauma - Focused ACT, ACT for Grief and Loss, MI (Motivational Interviewing), and Narrative Therapy including Narrative Therapy for First Nations People. I also therapeutically intervene with mindfulness including trauma - sensitive mindfulness, positive psychology, post - traumatic growth, anti - oppressive and strengths - based and person - centred practice. I also assist anyone with their self - care who want to experience growth in their life. Therefore, psychoeducation is also a part of my practice.
