Glad that you are making the time to invest in your mental health and wellness. You need to connect with a clinician whose philosophy of treatment aligns with your values. As a licensed clinical psychologist since 2020, my passion lies in helping the full range of the adult population (18-65+); specifically emerging and young adults as well as middle and older adults. Throughout my career, I have enjoyed working within mental health outpatient clinics, VA hospitals, and university counseling centers. I have worked with a wide variety of individuals, from everyday citizens and veterans to college students and the underrepresented, all of whom experienced emotional and physical distress at various points during their lives.
Earning my doctorate specializing in clinical psychology has afforded me the ability to confidently apply relevant psychological research to an expert level of clinical practice. Additionally, I have unique training in providing a comprehensive use of clinical assessment that helps to clarify client presentation and more efficiently addresses client issues, which leads to clients feeling better sooner. My extensive training is grounded in providing the most up-to-date evidence-based treatment through a cognitive-behavioral lens. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) best aligns with my therapeutic approach because this tool has been shown to target the underlying causes of distress by providing knowledge and skills to promote meaningful emotional and behavioral change. The scientifically based treatment tools I utilize effectively address client symptoms and have been shown in research to dramatically reduce distress and improve quality of life. Simply put, I value using best clinical practice in every encounter with a client!
My message to you is that I will work with you to understand your concerns. I will validate and advocate on your behalf while pushing for realistic change. I will present you with healthier and long-term alternatives. The core of my work is to collaboratively develop a safe and trusting environment in which you feel heard and respected. In the space we create together, you will have room to grow and learn without judgment, understand important connections to your situation, and feel empowered to tackle life challenges.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
