Welcome, I'm Monique.

You have landed here because your experiencing a particularly difficult time in your life. I'm here to compassionately and professionally support you.

What to expect when working with me:

I am a human first, Grief and Bereavement Therapist and Accredited Mental Health Clinician second. That means I work with you in a compassionate, humanistic manner, that sees your unique life story first and your struggles second.

My extensive clinical experience has allowed me to work with a range of

patients challenged by stress, anxiety, depression, other complex mental diagnoses, childhood trauma, single-incident trauma, suicide loss, natural death and non-death related loss (career loss, pet loss, divorce/seperation), chronic illness, anticipatory grief (eg: caring for some one with dementia) and major life transitions (ie: moving out of home, moving overseas). I work with adults from 18 years and up.

I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and authenticity. My appointments and subsequent treatment plans are always tailored to your unique needs and will incorporate wherever appropriate the following therapies and approaches:

Talk Therapy, Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solutions-focused Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness and Somatic work.

Consider me your holder of hope, during these difficult times. Our therapy sessions can be undertaken via live video call, phone or messaging. I look forward to connecting with you to establish a professional therapeutic relationship that allows you to feel safe and supported to achieve your therapy goals.

I'm happy to answer questions you may have about me as a therapist, how I work or what to expect during your therapy sessions. I often find for most of my clients, the first step is always the most difficult and once they start the therapy process its actually something they really value and want to consistently commit to for themselves.

With kindness, Monique

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
