I have been working with Laurette for about 3 months working on self discovery post marriage and motherhood. Reclaiming boundaries and reestablishing values. Laurette is a kind and warm listening ear. I never felt judged or uncomfortable. She always provided extra material if requested, tuned into me journal entries, and maintained open and flexible communication through a multitude of avenues. I’m sad to hear she will no longer be on this platform. Thank you for making yourself available to me.

I'm a licensed therapist in Texas with extensive experience supporting individuals through life's most challenging moments. My work centers on helping clients navigate depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, grief, and relationship difficulties with compassion and cultural awareness.
I work with clients across the lifespan—from young adults to older adults—and bring a multicultural lens to therapy. I'm particularly skilled at addressing trauma and abuse, social anxiety, panic disorder, mood disorders, attachment issues, and codependency patterns. I also support clients working through self-harm, guilt and shame, body image concerns, isolation, and questions about life purpose and self-love.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices and informed by my commitment to honoring each client's unique identity, values, and background. Whether you're navigating family dynamics, relationship challenges, or personal growth, I create a safe, affirming space where you can explore your experiences without judgment.
I believe therapy works best when built on genuine connection and mutual respect. My role is to listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and walk alongside you as you move toward healing and meaningful change. I'm honored to support you on your journey.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Love her!
Miss Lauretta is very, very good at what she does. She's incredibly thorough and makes sure to explain the hows and whys of things we discuss, which is very beneficial to me and my anxiety issues. She's also incredibly sweet and sympathizes in a way that doesn't make me feel pitied, but moreso acknowledged, which I love.
Attentive, kind, and understanding of my wants and needs.
While it's still early in my therapy journey, Lauretta has been amazing in making me feel safe in our conversations, listening to my experiences and helping me understand them. I already feel more confident with the tools I've been given so far, and I can't wait to have more sessions with her. I highly recommend working with Lauretta if you can!
I’m really benefiting from the thoughtful interaction
Lauretta is wonderful. This is my first time in therapy and she’s made the experience a good one for me so far. She is inclusive in goal setting and shares helpful information which I have found myself using in working through my loss of my Mom. I really appreciate her and what she has offered in her knowledge so far. I look forward to continue working with her.
