It's very hard for me to put into words how great Rachel is, but I'll try. My first try with therapy (outside of Better Help) was a nightmare and it made me very scared to open myself up to another therapist. I was very apprehensive during my first session with Rachel, very reluctant to open myself up for fear of another therapist abandoning me. After our first session, I realized that this was the therapist I was meant to work with. Rachel is so kind, caring, attentive, and non-judgmental. I trust her wholeheartedly (which is something that does not come easy for me). I know that no matter what I tell her, she won't judge me or look at me in a negative light. She GENUINELY cares for her clients and GENUINELY wants to see you reach your goals and succeed. I couldn't have asked for a better, more caring, more helpful therapist. I'd give her a billion star review if I could :)

I have been practicing since June 2014 with experience in pediatric behavioral health, individual and family therapy, and crisis intervention. I enjoy helping individuals who have experienced trauma to overcome symptoms of depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and grief. I also have experience working with parents to assist them in developing effective parenting techniques and strengthening the parent-child bond. Also, I am trained in a number of other evidenced-based therapeutic modalities including Solution Focused Therapy; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; Child-Parent Relationship Therapy; Dialectical Behavioral Therapy; Child Centered Play Therapy; the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics, which integrates brain development into clinical problem solving; and Biofeedback. I strongly believe in fostering an ability in all people to develop their own solutions to life’s challenges and that developing a therapeutic partnership can help clients realize their potential.

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Rachel's a fantastic therapist and someone who takes time to listen and respond, meeting you where you are. I was skeptical about trying "online" therapy but have so far had a great experience with Rachel and really appreciate all the help she's provided me so far, not to mention her schedule flexibility!
