I was matched with Georgia and I am very pleased. She has helped me through my trust issues and family conflicts. It was great to have a therapist that is able to understand the difficulties of moving and readjusting to new cultures.

I’ve had five sessions with Georgia so far and I have found it a really great experience. She offers me an objective outlook, practical advice, as well as asking reflective questions that I can focus and build on by the next session. Georgia’s recommendations and experience in many different aspects of psychology provide me with a well-rounded view of my issues that I have found incredibly helpful as I amend my relationship with myself.

More about Georgia

  • 6 years' experience
  • Female
  • HCPC, BACP

I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS). I have completed my Doctoral Training in Counselling Psychology at City, University of London and my M.Sc. in Clinical Mental Health Sciences at University College London (UCL). I have experience working in the National Health Service (NHS) and third sector organisations providing psychological assessment and treatment for adults with a range of psychological concerns.

Being an integrative psychologist, I adapt and bring together different evidence-based psychological approaches and therapeutic techniques which suit your individual needs, circumstances, and goals. My approach to therapy is warm and holistic, helping you to gain awareness, integrate and provide care for the different dimensions of yourself and your life, including your emotions, thoughts, physical experiences, and relationships with yourself and others. My training encompasses a variety of specialist psychological approaches, including Humanistic therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Mindfulness.

My expertise includes working on an international level with clients from a wide range of cultures and ethnicities to explore recurring patterns that lead to emotional distress, learn to treat themselves with compassion, build resilience, and find inner peace. The areas of my special interest include anxiety (work-related anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, health anxiety, phobias, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder-OCD), low self-esteem, personal development, shame/guilt, depression, loss, matherhood/pregnancy concerns and interpersonal difficulties (romantic relationship/family/friendship concerns).

I provide sessions in English and Greek language.

I very much look forward to speaking with you and working with you in a confidential and safe environment of kindness, compassion, and respect.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
