Asalam Alaykum and Hello! I’m Khafayah.
I’m a Muslim counsellor and psychotherapist, an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), an Accredited Registrant of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), and a Member of the Muslim Counsellors and Psychotherapists Network (MCAPN).
I’m also a trained Islamic counsellor. I offer the option to integrate Islamic counselling principles into our work, including Qur’anic reflections, du’a, the Names of Allah, and a spiritually grounded understanding of emotional healing.
My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, which means I tailor therapy to your individual needs. I draw from person-centred counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), emotional regulation tools, reflective journaling, and — when requested — Islamic guidance that honours your faith as a source of strength.
I support clients working through:
Emotional overwhelm, anxiety, grief, or burnout
Toxic, narcissistic, or spiritually abusive relationships
Low self-worth, shame, and internal conflict
Cultural or religious identity struggles
Feeling emotionally lost or silenced in faith and family systems
Many of the women I work with are African or Muslim, carrying emotional wounds shaped by silence, spiritual confusion, or cultural expectations. I provide a calm, respectful space for you to explore your story, release what no longer serves you, and rebuild your connection with yourself and Allah.
Therapy with me is not about quick fixes. It’s about returning to the version of yourself that Allah already sees as whole, resilient, and deeply loved.
I offer remote therapy via secure video, phone, or messaging and engage in regular clinical supervision to ensure ethical, effective support in accordance with BACP guidelines.
If you’re ready to begin your healing journey, I would be honoured to walk beside you.
I am here to help and support you through issues or challenges you want to work with to make better life choices, so you can live the life you design for yourself!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
