Dan is easy to talk to and a great listener. His understanding of addiction/family issues has been particularly useful. Our sessions have been very helpful for me as a place to vent and get a sensible perspective on things.

About Me

Hello, I’m Dan, an experienced Integrative Counsellor working with both individuals and couples. As an integrative therapist, I draw upon a range of therapeutic approaches, tailoring our work together to meet your unique needs, goals, and circumstances.

While I work with a wide range of clients, I have a particular passion for supporting men’s mental health. I believe every man should have access to a safe, supportive space where they can talk openly about life’s challenges without fear of judgment. Seeking support isn’t always easy, but having the opportunity to be heard and understood can be the beginning of meaningful change.

I understand how overwhelming life can feel when you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, low self-esteem, or other emotional and psychological difficulties. My aim is to provide a compassionate and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your experiences, gain greater self-awareness, and develop practical strategies to help you move forward with confidence.

Our sessions will focus on what matters most to you. Together, we will work at a pace that feels comfortable, helping you navigate challenges, build resilience, and create lasting positive change. I am based in Sleaford and offer counselling online, by telephone, and face-to-face, allowing you to access support in the way that suits you best.

Over the past five years in private practice, I have worked with hundreds of clients experiencing a broad range of issues. In addition to my private practice, I have supported survivors of sexual abuse through Trust House in Grantham and worked with clients at Lincoln Trauma Centre, helping individuals process and recover from traumatic experiences.

My areas of special interest include:

• Men’s mental health

• Anxiety and depression

• Trauma and PTSD

• Addiction and recovery

• Low self-esteem and confidence

• Autism and ADHD

• Relationship difficulties

• Stress management and emotional wellbeing

I recognise that reaching out for support can feel daunting. Taking that first step requires courage, and I am committed to creating a therapeutic space where you feel safe, respected, and understood. Whether you’re facing a specific challenge or simply feeling stuck, we can work together to help you gain clarity, develop healthier coping strategies, and move towards a more fulfilling life.

If you feel I may be the right therapist for you, please feel free to send me a message through BetterHelp. My availability may not always be fully reflected in the calendar, but I will do my best to find a suitable time for us to work together.

I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your journey.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
