More about Jodi

  • 20 years' experience
  • Female
  • LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience supporting children, adolescents and adults through anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I approach therapy as a collaborative and supportive process, with an emphasis on helping clients feel safe, understood, and more regulated as we work together.

My therapeutic style is integrative and practical. I draw primarily from cognitive-behavioral and strengths-based approaches while tailoring therapy to each person’s needs, goals, and stage of life. I am especially interested in how emotional experiences connect with the nervous system, and I enjoy helping clients better understand the mind–body connection as a way to build self-awareness and coping skills.

I strive to create a calm, nonjudgmental space where clients can slow down, make sense of what they’re experiencing, and develop tools that feel realistic and usable in daily life. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply looking to better understand yourself, therapy can be a place to build clarity, resilience, and confidence at your own pace.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
