I am a registered Psychodynamic Counsellor in the UK with 10 years of professional counselling/therapy work with clients, working in both organisations and in private practice. I have experience in helping clients with mental health struggles such as depression, stress and anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma and abuse. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage but it is the very first step of your journey to living a more happier, functional life.
My aim is to help people see themselves more clearly and to know themselves better, helping them to face and make sense of what is troubling them. I focus on how problems and conflicts in adulthood may stem from what we experienced in childhood, and how this has impacted on how we relate to ourselves and other people as well as how we are drawn into repeating the same patterns time and time again and leading us towards the same relationships/friendships.
Talking with an experienced therapist who has been trained to listen , not just to what you say but to also what isn't being said, in a safe space can help you understand yourself more and see your situation more clearly. It is about exploring what is troubling you at a deeper level, to uncover what is behind it, what drives it and what is keeping it going. Although therapy won't solve all your problems, it can help you to make sense of things and see things more clearly so that your issues , concerns or past will have less impact on your everyday life and help you live more effectively.
I also find having a good sense of humour can be a very useful tool for both of us. If we do decide to work together there are likely to be occasions when we find we are laughing together, even in the most difficult circumstances because we are human and i don't work in a formal, clinical way but in a way that is real and helps us form a good working relationship and builds trust.
You don't have to cope alone, so please get in touch and we can begin your journey together!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
