Karen understands me and is wonderful at helping guide me. I like how she asks questions that lead me to understand myself better. I love the way she knows when a subject is too much for me to handle at the moment and is able to calm me.
More about Karen

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 38 years of experience, I've seen how childhood trauma can shape the ways we learn to survive. The coping strategies that once protected us often continue long after the danger has passed, evolving into depression, anxiety, codependency, unhealthy relationship patterns, difficulties at work, substance misuse, or other compulsive behaviors that quietly diminish our ability to express our needs and live authentically.
While I work with many people whose lives have been affected by these patterns, I am not an addiction specialist. I do not provide treatment for individuals who are actively using substances and seeking recovery from addiction. If that is your primary need, I will gladly help you find a provider who specializes in that area.
When you begin therapy with me, I believe you'll find someone who listens carefully, not only to your words but also to the emotions, themes, and patterns that may be operating just beneath your awareness. My style is compassionate, honest, and practical. Humor often finds its way into our work together, along with the occasional reference to music, books, sitcoms, or movies. I have a particular fondness for fantasy and science fiction, and every now and then those worlds provide surprisingly good metaphors for our own.
My work is grounded in the belief that healing begins when we feel truly seen. Together, we'll explore how old survival strategies may no longer be serving you and discover new ways of relating to yourself and the people around you. My goal isn't to tell you who you should become. It's to help you uncover who you've been all along, beneath the burdens you've carried.
I hope to help you find what you've been missing.
You bring the flashlight. I'll bring the map. Together, we'll discover the path forward.
Because I believe genuine connection is an essential part of the healing process, I provide video sessions only. I want us to see one another's expressions, hear the subtle changes in one another's voices, and create the kind of therapeutic relationship that is difficult to achieve through audio alone.
If this sounds like the kind of journey you're ready to begin, I'd be honored to walk alongside you.
Let's get started, shall we?

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Karen has made such a difference!
Karen understands me and is wonderful at helping guide me. I like how she asks questions that lead me to understand myself better. I love the way she knows when a subject is too much for me to handle at the moment and is able to calm me.
Karen has been a wonderful source of support as well as someone who challenges me to really get outside of the rut I had found myself in. We have great rapport and in sessions with her, I feel both safe and upheld and listened to.
She is the therapist I need. She can so easily get to the root of what is wrong and help you get those passkey weeds growing in your mind. I could not recommend her more highly.
karen will walk with you to the bottom where your depression and anxiety root and she will guide you so that you dig yourself up. karen observed behaviors about me that i didn’t even know i was doing! i felt so seen and understood that i cried a very good cry in my second session.
Karen is a great listener. She has been wonderful at helping me process my emotions.
She's absolutely sweet and kind
Karen's been extraordinarily helpful by asking the right questions, challenging my assumptions about myself and my relationships, and really reframing how I see myself and how I see the world. I am grateful for her assistance and have already started seeing some benefits.
Karen is a great therapist that not only listens but gives you great feedback and tools to help you with what you are going through. In just 3 sessions she has helped me more than any therapist I have had in the past. She is very knowledgeable and truly wants to help the best way she can. I would completely recommend Karen to anyone!!
Karen is awesome! She is kind and supportive, yet assertive and honest. Really enjoying the process with her and feeling like I'm making progress in a short time. By far my best therapist and experience with therapy!
