Tracy has been a very kind, patient and competent therapist. She catches me when I am in denial about my issues and evading her questions. She is getting me through what is the most difficult time of my life - grief due to my husband's death, loss of my home, loss of friends and chronic illness.

Welcome, and thank you for your interest in working with me here on BetterHelp.
I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself so you can get a clear sense of who I am as a therapist and whether we may be a good fit as you pursue your goals.
I am a New York–licensed clinical mental health counselor with nine years of professional experience. I support clients navigating stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, anger management, motivation, self‑esteem, and confidence. My approach is grounded in respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I tailor our conversations and treatment plan to your unique needs, because your story and your strengths deserve individualized care.
Taking the first step toward a more fulfilling and grounded life takes courage. I hold deep confidence in my clients’ ability to heal, grow, and create meaningful change, and I am here to walk alongside you in that process.
My clinical background includes EMDRIA certification as an EMDR specialist, a post‑graduate degree in trauma and dissociation, and training in clinical hypnosis through the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. I am also trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and am strongly rooted in systems thinking—recognizing that change in one area of life inevitably influences the whole.
Before completing my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Regent University, I spent eight years as a volunteer counseling paraprofessional with the United States Army, serving veterans and their families. My BA in theology from NBC also allowed me to serve in pastoral counseling roles within the civilian community.
My professional work is deeply informed by my personal life as well—over 30 years of marriage, raising children, living with and thriving despite chronic illness, and navigating the complexities of everyday life. These experiences shape the empathy, steadiness, and perspective I bring to therapy.
In addition to counseling, I am trained as a life coach through the iNLP Center, an International Coaching Federation–accredited program also recognized by the National Board for Certified Counselors. Coaching surprised me by becoming a passion. I have always believed in client empowerment—never offering advice, but instead helping clients discover their own clarity, wisdom, and direction. Coaching has strengthened this philosophy and continues to enrich my therapeutic work.
A Few Logistical Notes
As we work together, most of our connection will take place during scheduled sessions, with messaging used as a supportive supplement. I work part‑time on BetterHelp and am available on Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, and Thursdays. I respond to messages on those days. While I may read messages sooner, I reply during my designated work times to maintain a healthy work–life balance—something I encourage for my clients as well.
If you choose to work with me, we will move at a pace that honors your needs, your strengths, and your readiness. I look forward to the possibility of supporting you as you grow into the life you’re seeking.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Tracy is very knowledgeable. She balances that vast understanding with a very supportive manner. I always feel seen and heard.
Tracy is intelligent, kind, and very good at listening. She’s a rather active listener, which is great, and Tracy helps me pick apart the underlying issues based on what I’ve said/written.
Tracey is a very astute, intuitive and compassionate therapist. She engendered a high degree of trust. I got a lot from our sessions. I have only had to discontinue for economic reasons and hope to continue with her in the future when my circumstances improve. I highly recommend her.
