Hi, I'm Beck, a person-centred counsellor with many years of experience supporting people through some of life's most difficult and challenging times. I believe that every person is unique, and that feeling genuinely heard, understood and accepted can be the starting point for meaningful change.

I have counselled people for whom everyday life is a struggle, and I have helped people navigate the challenges of grief, loss and heart-breaking devastation. I have experience of working with people of all ages, from teenagers through to older adults, and have worked extensively with children and young people who have experience of the care system, including issues around identity, family, relationships and belonging.

I am an LGBTQIA+ ally and welcome conversations around sexual and gender identity, coming out and exploring who you are. I aim to offer a warm, accepting and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever is troubling you, without feeling that you need to have the 'right' words.

My approach is centred around you and your individual experience. Together, we can explore what is happening for you, make sense of difficult feelings and experiences, recognise your strengths and consider what might help you move forward. You don't need to have everything figured out before we begin.

Finding the right counsellor is important, so we can take some time to see whether we feel comfortable working together. I look forward to meeting you.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
