Teresa is such a kind and caring lady, she does not pressure you into booking appointments, replies quickly on the general chat area and can offer more casual support that way rather than a full session. Unfortunately due to finds I am having to cancel but if this was not an issue I would continue with Teresa 100%

Teresa is a lovely therapist, so supportive and understanding. She has made such a huge difference to how I’ve been feeling over the last few months and I would really recommend a session with her!

If you have found your way to this page, some part of you is already reaching toward something different, even if you cannot yet name what that is.

Hello, I'm Teresa, a Person-Centred counsellor and Mindfulness teacher based in the UK, with eighteen years of experience walking alongside people through change, loss, and the kind of emotional overwhelm that can leave you feeling unmoored.

My background spans both healthcare and therapeutic settings. For many years I worked in cancer care, accompanying people and their families through some of the most frightening and uncertain seasons of their lives. That work taught me how much can be carried when someone simply feels truly heard, and how steadying a calm, unhurried presence can be when everything else feels unsteady. It is this I offer you here: a warm space, free from judgment, pressure, or expectation, where you can arrive exactly as you are.

I've supported clients navigating:

Stress and burnout

Anxiety and emotional dysregulation

Relationship challenges and communication difficulties

Grief, bereavement, and complex loss

Low self-esteem and the search for inner confidence

Life transitions, including career shifts, health changes, and spiritual growth

My approach is rooted in deep respect for your lived experience. I don't believe in quick fixes or one-size-fits-all methods. While my foundation is the Person-Centred Approach, I draw on a range of frameworks to meet you where you are, including Jungian and Internal Family Systems work, Narrative therapy, and Solution-Focused approaches. Which threads we follow depends entirely on you, and we'll work gently and collaboratively to make sense of what has been hard and move toward a life that feels more aligned with who you truly are.

I currently offer online sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays, between 9am and 4pm GMT. I work in GMT hours only, so if you are reaching out from another time zone, it is worth keeping this in mind as you explore availability.

I hold a Professional Diploma in Counselling and an MSc in Psychology from the University of Stirling. I am a qualified Mindfulness teacher and a registered member of COSCA, the BACP, and the British Psychological Society (BPS), working in line with their ethical frameworks to ensure safe, compassionate, and client-centred care.

It takes courage to ask for support. If you are here, you have already taken the first step. I would be honoured to walk beside you on the path ahead.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
