Hello, and thanks for visiting my page. My name's Emily and I'm a BACP-registered psychotherapist and registered EMDR therapist. I have completed my Doctorate in Psychology, and am awaiting HCPC registration as a chartered psychologist.

I have over eight years of experience working in various mental health settings, both NHS and charity sectors. I bring a warm, kind, and compassionate approach to therapy. My professional background includes roles within community mental health teams and neurodevelopmental assessment services, where I have supported clients facing a wide range of challenges. I currently work part-time in the NHS in a personality disorders service.

I have extensive experience working with complex trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, OCD, psychosis, personality disorders, and other complex mental health difficulties. My therapeutic work is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect for each person’s unique journey, and I am committed to creating a safe and supportive space for meaningful change and healing. My therapeutic approach combines third-wave CBT (such as ACT), with psychodynamic and humanistic underpinnings.

I offer live chat sessions, phone and video. We can work together to find what would be most helpful for you and what you are hoping to gain from therapy. If you have any questions at all just let me know and I look forward to meeting you.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
