Welcome, you have made a courageous decision to seek help and or find your best self. My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating all humans with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I have worked in the mental and behavioral field starting with children and then adolescences in a live in Drug and Alcohol Program for Families. Families of all kinds seeking help for them and they're children.

I currently work with adults. My approach combines family centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and rational-emotive therapy. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I enjoy helping people realize their strengths and power to heal.

I believe and value working with each client implementing individual evidenced based care. I am trained and experienced in using several modalities; EMDR, DBT, CBT, Emotional interviewing and Trauma Focused therapy. We as individuals need individualized treatment. Not everyone fits with the same therapist.

I have advanced training in working with families in traumatic life situations.

Supervising professional providers working in various fields providing innovative ideas and events to prevent burnout, compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma is a value I cherish.

As stated earlier my social work/therapist education started with early childhood development becoming certified in the1980's in Santa Cruz, California. I continued on studying a Counseling degree in Santa Cruz California. I moved to Arkansas and completed a a Master of Social Work at University of Arkansas in 1994. After passing the exam to become a Licensed Master of Social Work I was Supervised by a qualified LCSW for two years as mandatory as required by the Arkansas Board of Social Work. I then took the exam and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been providing counseling and consultation independently since this time working with various populations.

I became trained as a EMDR therapist. After becoming a member of EMDRIA, a national association for EMDR providers.

I have specialized knowledge in treating people with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder and Complex Trauma. I have advanced clinical knowledge and experience working with people diagnosed with Bipolar 1, Bipolar 2, Depression and Anxiety.

It is important to me that people who work in the front lines, physicians. nurses, ambulance personnel, mental health workers and all providers and caregivers have a confidential atmosphere to seek help or consultation. There is hope and help for preventing burnout, compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma.

For me helping people is my calling in life. I find joy in watching people heal and discover joy in life.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
