Are you interested in meeting with a therapist not so much to fix something that is wrong with you but rather to figure out how to live with challenging experiences or feelings? I provide clinical services to individuals experiencing a wide range of psychological and emotional challenges. Many clients seek treatment after prolonged periods of stress or difficulty, and my work centers on helping them examine long‑standing beliefs, patterns, and responses that may no longer be adaptive. I support clients in developing insight, increasing cognitive and emotional flexibility, and strengthening their capacity to navigate an ever‑changing environment.
My clinical focus includes the treatment of anxiety, self‑criticism, depression, trauma, sexual abuse, PTSD , relationship concerns and general mental health. I operate from the perspective that all emotional experiences are valid, while also working collaboratively to assess whether those emotions accurately reflect present circumstances. My goal is to assist clients in identifying strengths, improving functioning, and enhancing overall wellbeing.
I provide services to individuals, children and families. Safety assessment is an integral component of my practice, and I consistently evaluate for suicidal ideation, self‑harm behaviors, and other risk factors. While my primary orientation is trauma‑focused, I integrate multiple therapeutic approaches including CBT, family therapy, client centered therapy, narrative therapy, Mindfulness and individual therapy to ensure treatment is tailored to each client’s needs.
I am a LICSW‑S with more than 35 years of experience working across diverse populations and service settings. My clinical background includes work with Veterans preparing for or returning from deployment, children and families involved in foster care and home‑preservation programs, parents working toward reunification, adolescents, therapeutic youth, and individuals with substance‑use disorders. I have extensive experience providing services to individuals with a range of mental health diagnoses.
My educational background includes an AA degree from a community college, a bachelor’s degree in social work from California State University, Long Beach, and a master’s degree in social work from New Mexico Highlands University. I have been licensed as Licensed Clinical Independent Social Worker since 1996 and am professionally trained in Trauma Systems Therapy.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
