Hi, my name is Monica Mitry and I am the owner of Counselling Blossom Service; a counselling, clinical supervision and case management provider, servicing both individual clients and businesses. I am a registered Counsellor, Social worker, and Clinical counselling supervisor with both the ACA and AASW. I use a high level of micro skills and interpersonal techniques, combined with the latest-industry knowledge, to deliver interventions based on a collaboration of theoretical frameworks, holistic and evidence-based principles. My approach is socially inclusive, trauma-informed and solution focused. I incorporate techniques from art therapy, gestalt therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, schema therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, Gottman therapy and acceptance and commitment concepts, amongst many more. I have performed comprehensive assessments and planned treatment strategies for clients with complex and co-morbid issues and can work with children, adolescents, adults, people with disabilities and the elderly for the last 11 years.

My specialties include grief, loss and bereavement counselling, anxiety counselling, maternal based counselling, feminist counselling, menopause affirming counselling, end of life/hospice and palliative care counselling, trauma-informed counselling, spiritually inclusive counselling, NDIS counselling; especially working with ASD and couples counselling.

I welcome you to contact me if you think we may be a therapeutic fit. It is my hope that I have the opportunity to help you blossom past your pain and to facilitate sessions that enhance your self-awareness and journey into the sunset of your desires.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
