Sometimes you need someone to talk to who is not personally involved in your situation. Someone who will listen, without judgment and offer unbiased feedback. Whether you're struggling with anxiety; depression; uncertainty about a relationship; family, work or school stress; life transitions; or just life in general, therapy can be a place to work through those feelings and come up with solutions.

I have been in private practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2003. My past experiences include completing psychiatric evaluations in an emergency department, working in a psychiatric hospital, a residential treatment facility for children and adolescents, a halfway house for adults with substance abuse issues, and at a nursing home/rehabilitation center.

My approach is interactive, utllizing evidence-based psychology, including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness and meditation, and holistic and spiritual approaches according to client interest. I work with individuals and couples. I believe that much of the success of therapy depends on a comfortable fit between the individual and the therapist. I look forward to meeting you to see if we are a good match.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
