I've been working in mental health since 2020 prior to and during COVID. I have had experience working as a first responder prior to transitioning to the mental health field.
I have experience working with individuals with IDD and co-occurring mental health diagnoses, individuals who have experienced trauma, as well as individuals in recovery from addiction. I have experience working with individuals who are on probation as well as currently incarcerated. I believe that what we have experienced in life may provide explanation for choices we've made but in no way do they define who we are.
I have certification in CBT as well as CPT. I view counseling as something which isn't one size fits all and maintain an eclectic approach utilizing DBT, CBT, Schema, CPT and whatever other tools may benefit a client in recovering and creating the life and relationships they aspire to.
While I'm privy to an hour a week in someone's life, I enjoy seeing the growth that they have experienced by applying what they've learned in session to their life outside of our time working together.
While I'm not working I enjoy reading, hiking, spending time with family and with my dogs.
I look forward to working with you while you strive to achieve whatever goals you may have whether it be improving your relationships or resolving whatever trauma you've yet to unpack.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
